Many people put their time in lockdown to good use and learnt a new skill or deepened their knowledge on a subject they already had an interest in. There are wine schools, clubs and societies all over the country led by passionate and knowledgeable wine lovers.
In normal times (we are not talking about the ‘new normal’) these groups are a local hub to attend tastings, learn more about wine and meet other like-minded people. During the last few months, when live tastings were impossible, they brought wine knowledge to people in the comfort of their own homes with virtual tastings. These are still going strong but would hugely benefit from your support. Now we are into September many have plans for small-scale and safely managed tastings. From a light-hearted one-off evening to top wine qualifications, why not check out your local wine school, club or society to see where it might take you on your vinous journey…
