Alsace wines: elegant, fragrant, rounded and fabulously food friendly. Alsace is the perfect place to visit if you want to enjoy some of the world’s greatest white wines in picture perfect scenery.
Renowned by experts the world over for their aromatic fruitiness and compatibility with many kinds of food, Alsace whites are outstanding - from powerful Rieslings and spicy Gewurztraminers to delicately scented Muscats and pretty Pinots (Blanc, Gris and Noir). The only permitted red grape - Pinot Noir - makes wines full of summer berry flavours. Alsace’s white wines range in style from bone dry to lusciously sweet, which means there’s a perfect wine to match with whatever you’re eating - from spicy Indian curries to fragrant Asian dishes and sushi.

Tea dealer Edwin Henry Booth, then aged 19 years, opened The China House in Blackpool 165 years ago, he had one simple aim, “To sell the best goods he could buy in shops staffed with first class assistants”. Today we hold true to our founders vision and take great pride in the quality in our business.
Chris Parker, the Founder of New Horizon Wines and a Brit, has lived in Virginia, USA for over 20 years. Over the years he has discovered many ‘hidden gems’, including elegant Viogniers, exciting Cabernet Francs, and classic Bordeaux-style blends. A growing number of winemakers in Virginia are developing a reputation for making world-class wines, and New Horizon Wines is making sure that they are available in the UK.

“Recently, when I am asked if I’ve discovered any new world-class vineyard regions, I am quite likely to say yes, one of the oldest in America – Virginia.” ~ Oz Clarke’s 250 Best Wines 2012.

Recognising that this valley, with its cool, rainy winters, hot, dry summers and moist Pacific Ocean breezes, was ideal for growing grapes, Don Maximiano sent for the finest clones from France and with tenacity and perseverance transformed this barren land into a world class vineyard.

Today, the tradition of quality lives on with Don Maximiano’s descendant Eduardo Chadwick. Eduardo is the sixth generation of his family to be involved in the wine business. Eduardo has overseen the modernisation of the winemaking technology at this historic Estate whilst maintaining a distinct identity for its wines. Dedicated to producing estate grown wines of superior quality, Errazuriz has built a reputation as the “Premier Family Wine Estate of Chile”.
